Life ever changing….

One of these days I’m going to get consistent with my posts and maybe they will reach and inspire others. My last post was about life-changing events…. Well these past 4+ years have been nothing but life-altering in some of the most profound ways possible. I’m happy to say that my leap of faith in taking an out of the box job was the best blessing that could have ever happened in my life. And while being let go from a job after 13 years, that small bump in the road paved the path that would carry me and my family through the unknown of the COVID era and taught all of us that we are always stronger than we think we are.

Over the last four years, I was given the task of assuming care of my parents. Growing up you know in your mind and in your heart that this day may come, but man, when it does, you realize that it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of grace to help your loved one navigate through their loss of autonomy and familiarity of their home. All of these changes come with big emotions. Lots of tears, lots of laughs, frustrations, but most importantly grace and patience. Both of which I work on each day. Both of which I usually fail at each day, but I keep trying.

I hope to be able to pick up where I left off four years ago and tell my story. And how despite all of the odds stacked against us, we are still holding strong, moving forward, and hopefully, impacting peoples’ lives in a positive way.

Until next time…. A total hot mess….
